Weekend Update

Let’s start by acknowledging the beautiful November weather we’re having here, can you believe it! Although I have been feeling a little under the weather this week, I couldn’t let the warm sun and fall colors pass by without  a little outdoor fun.

One of my favorite weekend activities is taking the pups hiking out in the “Land of Milk and Honey” and this weekend was especially special as I brought the digital and snapped close to 200 photos! Mawu is quickly learning the difference between “bye-bye” and “Let’s go bye-bye”. As soon as she hears let’s, it’s game on. She races to the front door, glancing quickly to see if I am picking up the leash for a walk or leaving it for something more special – a ride in the truck! Our usual hiking ground offers everything the pups could want, creeks, hills, mud, and plenty of wildlife. Seeing their excitement in running with no confinements and sprinting through the creek out of pure joy brings love into my life for them as well as the blessed surroundings I am lucky enough to have access to.

Hope everyone else enjoyed their weekend and are ready to take on the week!

Peace and love

Desperately searching for his prey – came out empty pawed.

Finally got them to sit still!

The Aussie. Meet Mawu

Hello blog world! I am thrilled to introduce The Daily Aussie, my means to provide both you and I with the humor, love, and daily fun we experience.
The inspiration to my blog stems from the best birthday gift a 27 year old, hyper-active animal lover could want – an Australian Shepherd puppy. From her, The Daily Aussie was born and I can’t wait to jump right in and share my adventures in this wonderful life.

I am lady of many things:  A female entrepreneur in the off-road industry, a Miss to the Mister, an addicted runner and future Iron Lady, a vegetarian, a yogi, an avid reader, and a proud mother of 3: 4 year old Titan, a White German Shepherd; 4 month old Mawu, the Aussie; and Zaria, an all black beauty of a pound cat and ruler of the house.

Please stop back and join me in the adventures of raising shepherds, endurance training, and  embracing the holiday spirit!

Peace and love
